Founded in 1983, JJS Manufacturing is one of the leading Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEM’s). When Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) outsource to a CEM, they relinquish control over their day-to-day manufacturing operations.

They need to be fully confident that when it comes to managing production their trusted partner can respond with at least the same precision and dexterity as they would have themselves. As an experienced CEM and outsourcing partner, JJS Manufacturing is able to demonstrate knowledge, capabilities, skills, processes, controls and agility in managing customers’ business to a level that set’s their customers’ minds completely at ease.

At the heart of JJS Manufacturing is its staff and Chris Johnson, Executive Chairman comments:

“My main objective as Executive Chairman is to enable our teams to create and provide a great end-to-end experience and manufacturing solution for our customers. Our culture and team dynamics seek to bring out the very best in every team member; our vision is outsourced manufacturing made easy, and in delivering that vision to enable our individual team members to develop in to the person they want to be, hopefully achieving their work and life goals.”

Following a strategic review of their manufacturing systems, Chris looked to Freeman Clarke to help shape JJS’s future vision:

“Freeman Clarke were able to provide a CIO to help us review our existing IT infrastructure including JJS’s bespoke manufacturing ERP system, working with us to develop a roadmap for the future state of our IT systems, together with a strategic plan to help us get there. Our IT has always been a significant value driver in our business and we need to ensure it stays that way. The Freeman Clarke CIO, has not only helped us with creating that roadmap but he also became a key member of our senior leadership team.”

JJS Manufacturing are implementing IT strategies that will bring new levels of capability and automation for the next generation of complex electronic assembly manufacturing. Chris added:

“With the exponential adoption of ‘The Internet of Things’, manufacturers are keen to continuously improve the connectivity and functionality of their products. Everything from production machinery, test equipment, through a range of domestic products, and even packaging systems are being connected and operated digitally — our IT systems need to continuously evolve to provide the outsourcing services our current and future customers expect, Freeman Clarke are helping us get to the next level.”
